Texture has emerged as a driving force in my work this late spring and summer.  Once again my work has evovled but still holds many of the same qualities: strength of form, clean lines, bold areas of color.  I enjoy laying down large areas of texture and then breaking it up with small areas of smooth clay and the additions of my makers mark.

Winter 2011

The work that I worked on during the past winter features a frosty satin white glaze.  Combined with varied faceted edges and smooth flowing lines this glaze is reminiscent of large open fields of snow and the rippled edges of wind blown drifts.
